Beat Hazard is a single screen arena shooter where the behavior, gameplay and visual effects of the enemies are dynamically adapted based on the selected soundtrack. AudioSurf can import just about any custom music track to change the game experience. Players take control of a small ship and withstand waves of enemies. Only one level is provided, but the ship’s firepower and opponents are dynamically transformed by analyzing music. Slow songs usually feed off the experience by the power of fire and the lack of enemies. Online leaderboard is also included. Multipliers are also awarded for five seconds (Dare Devil) and every 30 seconds (Survivor) without firing.

In slow sections the ship’s weapon is very weak and only a few enemies appear.
